Description: The singers start their song three repeats of the four-bar ground after the Kuvelusa indication. "Ho! Come Mahlatini. Come to your house." Mahlatini is the name of the the present Chief Zandamela's grandfather. It is not clear whether the name of the old chief or of his grandson is indicated in this song. Description: It will be noticed that in a Ngodo which has been composed by a number of players the style varies between movements as with the present Ngodo of Zandamela. The advent of a dominating musical personality, such as Katini of Zavala, or Komukomu of Banguza, improves the whole situation. The music takes on a more defined shape. This year 1963 finds the Chopi temporarily short of front rank composers and players. "Listen all you people of Zandamela to hear about the law."
