As soon as a bird sees the slightest crack, it squeezes the fruit, making the two halves fall. Bird then eats pip plus scarlet aril and later regurgitates pip. Parrots however eat the flesh too, very wastefully. Kei Road, King Wms Town. May 1963. Commiphora caryaefolia.”
